Purrsuit

Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 August 2026

Purrsuit is operated by BRIGHTLEAP INC, a Delaware corporation, 64 E. Broadway Road, Suite 200, Tempe, AZ 85282, United States ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the Purrsuit app and this website collect, why, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.

Short version: we collect the email you sign up with, what you tell us about your cat, and your daily check-ins. We do not sell any of it, we do not run advertising or tracking SDKs, and you can delete everything from inside the app in two taps.

What we collect

DataWhy we have it
Email address and password To create your account and let you sign back in. Passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider; we never see them.
Your cat's profile — name, age, weight, breed, indoor/outdoor, concerns It is the app. Everything shown to you is calculated from this.
Onboarding questionnaire answers To build the first profile and tailor which lessons you see. These are recorded from the first question, before an account exists, and are linked to you once you enter your email.
Daily check-ins and notes To produce the wellness score and the trends you and your vet look at.
Photos you upload Only if you choose to attach one to a check-in. Stored in our file storage and shown back to you.
Course and training progress To remember where you stopped.
Subscription status To know whether your access is active. Payment itself happens in Apple's App Store — see below.
Basic technical data Your device type, OS version and app version reach Expo when the app checks for an update, so it can be handed the right build. The app carries no analytics or advertising SDK.
Crash and error reports When the app crashes or hits an error, a diagnostic report is sent to Sentry so we can find and fix it. It contains what went wrong and where in the code, your device and OS, and an internal account identifier — never your email address, and never the contents of what you have written. Request addresses are stripped of anything that could identify you before the report leaves your device.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos library, health data about people, or advertising identifiers. Purrsuit contains no advertising SDKs and no analytics or attribution SDKs.

Payment information

We never receive your card details. Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple takes the payment and tells our payments provider whether your subscription is active; what reaches us is a status, a product identifier, a transaction identifier and a renewal date. Apple's own handling of your payment data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Who else processes your data

We use a small number of service providers. They process data on our instructions and for no purpose of their own:

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising. We disclose data otherwise only if the law requires it.

AI features — what to expect

Purrsuit uses AI to summarise what you have logged and to answer questions about cat care. Two things follow from that, and we would rather say them plainly:

Where data is stored

Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you use Purrsuit from outside the United States, your data is transferred there. Where transfers from the EEA or the UK require a safeguard, our providers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. Delete your account and it is removed immediately — see below. Questionnaire answers from people who never finished signing up are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted.

Deleting your account

In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no grace period and no recovery. It removes your account, your cats, your check-ins and notes, your uploaded photos, your course and training progress, your subscription record, and your onboarding answers.

Deleting your Purrsuit account does not cancel your subscription — Apple owns that. Cancel it in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device, otherwise it keeps renewing.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Most of this you can do yourself in the app; for anything else write to support@purrsuit.cat and we will respond within 30 days.

Californian residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not discriminate against anyone who exercises their rights.

Children

Purrsuit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to the database is restricted per user by row-level security, so one account cannot read another's data. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not keep what we do not need.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
